Among the five major factory nightscapes in Japan (Muroran, Kawasaki, Yokkaichi, Kitakyushu, and Yamaguchi), Yokkaichi boasts one of the most powerful and beautiful factory nightscapes.
The view is so spectacular that it is called "sacred ground" by "factory moe" people.
The Yokkaichi Industrial Complex Night View Cruise, which began in July 2010, is a very popular program that allows visitors to see the night view of the industrial complex from the sea. On certain Fridays and Saturdays*, "60-minute cruises," "90-minute cruises," or "event cruises" are available.
