The "Daien Kaikan Maguro Restaurant" is popular for its reasonably priced fresh tuna and dishes made with negitoro (tuna with green onion), which is prepared every morning.
It was first opened as a restaurant for sailors when the port was a port of call for many fishing boats as a distant-sea fishing base until the early 1960s.
